Established in 2006, the Irish College Of Hairdressing is Ireland’s premier hairdressing school, with our headquarters in Galway.

The Irish College Of Hairdressing offers both full and part-time courses, accredited by City And Guilds

The Irish College Of Hairdressing is owned and run by Bernardine Gallagher.

Bernardine trained as a hairdresser at the internationally recognised Morris School of Hairdressing in London’s West End.  Following 7 successful years working in New York in the banking and international shipping industries, Bernardine realised a lifelong ambition by completing her training as a hairdresser.

With her professional City & Guilds qualification, Bernardine began her hairdressing career as a junior stylist with an international salon organisation.  She very quickly demonstrated her keen business and hairdressing acumen, working her way very quickly into management and hairdressing training.  Her success in the industry to date has seen Bernardine rewarded with national and international awards in the Hairdressing industry.

She has traveled extensively for work and pleasure throughout Europe, South East Asia, Australia, America, South Africa and Canada. This broad international experience and the cultural influences shine through in her approach to hairdressing training, delivering students a unique offering in training in Ireland.

Returning to Ireland in 2002, Bernardine set about opening her own salon, the successful Queen B Hair and Beauty Salon which opened its doors in 2005.  In 2006 she launched the Irish College of Hairdressing in Liosban, Galway fulfilling her desire to provide an international quality hairdressing school in Ireland.

As a stylist, salon manager and hairdressing trainer she is passionate about delivering excellence in each area of hairdressing.  From customer service, through consultation, cutting, colouring and home care, Bernardine’s intense desire to deliver 100% is the foundation stone in her success as a hairdressing trainer.

On behalf of the Irish College Of Hairdressing Team, I would like to welcome you to our site, and look forward to speaking to you, regarding your future career in Hairdressing.

Warm Regards,

Bernardine.
